Since 1993, Studio Oliver owner and namesake Oliver Bacchus has been dedicated to mastering his craft to better serve his clients. As a master stylist and colorist, Oliver is truly committed to making each and every client look and feel better than they ever have before. Oliver prides himself on arming his clients with the technique and knowledge to recreate each new style at home.
Oliver began his career, after being licensed in the United States, with a trip abroad to study under some of the most recognized names in the industry, including Vidal Sassoon in Germany, Tony and Guy in London and Jacque Dessange in Paris. In a strange twist of fate while heading for New York City, Olivers car broke down in Atlanta and The rest is history.
His first job in Atlanta was with the Buckhead mega chain salon Van Michael, where Oliver quickly rose through the ranks to become a cutting department educational director. During this time, Oliver also worked nationally with AVEDA. In 1996, Oliver traveled back to Europe where he realized his true passion for hair color and styling, enjoying the creation of a clients look from start to finish.
When he returned home to Atlanta, following the flexibility and relaxation he had found during his travels, Oliver realized it was time to bring that atmosphere to his own environment and, in the fall of 1997, Studio Oliver was born. While building his epynonymous salon, Oliver began studying with Bumble and Bumble in their New York flagship as frequently as possible. Oliver views The House of Bumble as the most creative force in the styling world; a place where the philosophy is to cultivate talent and allow it to grow, so when they asked him to become the east coast regional educator, he gladly accepted.
In 1999, Oliver began working with the singer Pink and that relationship led to an affiliation with the Grammys. Through his work with the Grammys and other organizations, Oliver has had the opportunity to work with some of the most notable and talented artist and producers in the music industry. Despite the glitz and glamour Olivers incredible diversity has allowed him to work with clients from a range of backgrounds and with a range of needs, including political figures such as Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and a variety of CNN correspondents. He has also made numerous television appearances on shows including Foxs Ambush Makeover and TNTs Ms. Universe pageant.
For nearly two decades Oliver has had the good fortune to be a student, teacher, platform artist and editorial stylist in the United States from coast to coast and internationally across eastern and western Europe and the U.S.S.R. He brings this wealth of experience and technical knowledge to his clients at Studio Oliver and is sure to be bring out your best self!

Jason Comstock:
Paired with his natural creative instincts and abilities, Jason has had extensive training at a diverse range of salons, “While I was in hair school in my early twenties, a well known stylist took me under his wing, and taught me the essential techniques necessary to become a top stylist. I worked at a multi-cultural salon for a while, so I learned to work with all different hair textures”. From there, Jason continued to blossom working at some of the biggest and best salons in Atlantas north side. After a few years in the larger salons, Jason began to tire what he describes as “a lack of personal touch”. But that changed when he joined Oliver’s team When we asked him to describe his experience with Studio Oliver thus far, he simply said “This is one of the biggest blessings in my career. Working here allows me to be creative, and share techniques and ideas with one of the best stylists in the US”
As for Jason’s skills? He has many. He is a master stylist, and colorist. He likes to really vibe with clients to figure out what works with their needs and lifestyle, “Is the person a business-person? Does she want something loose and sexy, or some subtle low-lights that will blow her away?” Whatever you need, he’s definitely got the magic potion. What we loved about Jason, is that with all of his talent and experience, it’s not only about “the cut, or color”. He told us a story about a woman that came in, literally, in tears. She had recently gotten a divorce, and demanded “cut it really short, and dye it red!”. Jason politely suggested a different option, and the woman agreed. When she left the salon, this client smiled from ear to ear, donning a well chosen cut and red highlights that suited her facial structure and skin tone. She called him a few days later, and told him that she had gone out and socialized for the first time in months because she felt so much better about herself.
Slone Griner:
When you sit down in Slone Griner's chair, you immediately feel at ease. Her buoyant smile and lively personality infuse your cut or color with great energy. The daughter of a therapist, Slone prides herself on being great with people, and good communicator. So if it’s a down-home talk you are looking for, or the right “read” on what you want done to your hair, Slone definitely has you taken care of, “I think that people sometimes feel uncomfortable getting their hair done, if they think they cant speak up and give their input. I really make people comfortable, so we can talk openly about what they want, and they end up feeling at ease, and enjoying the process. All of our clients are always smiling and laughing here, it’s a great feeling“.
Slone began her career working at larger salons to learn the ropes. She soaked up knowledge and technique as quickly as she did formulas and biology in her pre-med studies previous to becoming a full-time stylist. We asked her why she chose this path instead of the medical route:
Slone “I enjoyed some aspects of those studies, but one day I realized that there was nothing I enjoyed more than hair.”
That simple yet focused love found her quitting her pre-med path, and entering full-time into the profession of “hair”. Although she learned a ton at the larger salons, she found the drama to be a bit much, and was very pleased when Oliver offered her the opportunity to study with him directly, as his apprentice over a year and a half ago.
“We're a like family here”, she said, “and the clients really enjoy it”.
Studying under Oliver’s keen eye, Slone has created a great foundation for styling, cutting and coloring. She has grown her client base organically, with repeat customers the norm. Slone will be sure to leave you relaxed, smiling, and pleased with the entire experience.
Zoe
Zoe was born and raised in the South East of England in the suburbs of London. She has always enjoyed being creative and working with people so chose the path to become a Massage Therapist.
She qualified top of her class at the University of Greenwich in Massage and Holistic Therapies. For several years she worked for the prestigious Eaton Fields Spa, near Liverpool Cheshire. In 2008 she emigrated to Atlanta USA and joined Studio Oliver.
Zoe has a gentle manner that instantly makes people feel comfortable and says that the thing she enjoys most about her work is the great comments she receives from customers who come in stressed out or in pain and leave happy and chilled out. She is a Capricorn and outside of work enjoys keeping fit, studying healthy nutrition, cooking, art and drawing.
